Abstract
This research study by the Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Institute (ZEPARI) investigates the impact of banking sector competition on financial stability in Zimbabwe using bank-level panel data from 2012 to 2025. Utilizing the Boone Indicator and Z-score metrics, the authors analyze how competitive market dynamics, bank-specific traits, and macroeconomic conditions shape efficiency and resilience across the nation's commercial banking sector.
